HAIM’s next single is coming soon.
The group unveiled the cover art for “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out,” the next song off their upcoming album. In the photo, lead singer Danielle leans against a black SUV with her eyes closed, soaking in the sun. The snap is a reference to an iconic Kate Moss photo from 25 years ago.
The sibling trio previously recreated an early 2000s moment with their last single, “Relationships,” paying tribute to a series of viral Nicole Kidman paparazzi pictures.
“Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out” arrives on Friday (April 4), and in the caption of the cover art post on Instagram, Danielle shared more about the single. “This next song we will be releasing is my favorite song we’ve written in the last couple years 🙂 writing it has gotten me through some hard times, and we felt this might be of some use to get our vibes right for this summer!” she wrote. “I started writing this after a panic attack I had the night I got home from tour. I was very confused because I was SO SO SO happy about our incredible tour, but something about being alone with myself scared the shit out of me. after a lot of reflecting I realized I’ve let a lot of people try and tell me how I should live my life, but I realized in making everyone else happy, I lost myself. I wrote this as a way to believe in myself again and quit being scared to do what I want. I hope this finds anyone who needs it.”

At press time the trio also featuring drummer Alana and bassist Este Haim have not announced the title, or release date, of their upcoming album. Haim’s last studio album, Women in Music Pt. III, was released in 2020. It reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy nomination for album of the year. In 2021, Haim was honored with the international group award at the BRITs.
